I understand how impossible it can seem to 'get over it' or 'move on' when we feel overwhelmed or anxiety has us in its grip.
Feelings of stress and anxiety are different for everyone but if you've ever experienced a crushing tightness in your chest, sweating, shaky legs, stomach cramps or the feeling that you just have to run or lash out you know how impossible it seems in that moment to think clearly.
.....and then afterwards feeling embarrassed or angry that we didn't cope or worse, swearing that we'll never try that again, go there again, speak to that person again and we feel smaller, more lonely, more disconnected and the sadness becomes overwhelming.
These feelings affect us in a sneaky, fear creating way. Informing and controlling our thinking and behaviour without us really knowing why something makes us nervous or uncomfortable.
We're constantly on alert waiting for something bad to happen again and the anxious, stressed feeling in our body becomes familiar and overwhelming at the same time.

Since 2002 I've built my practice on what my clients tell me works for them.
A maximum of 5 clients: I only ever work with a maximum of five 1:1 clients at any time to make sure that I can give you my absolute attention and focus;
For continuity, consistency and to make sure that you get the support you need, I recommend that my new clients book 6-sessions spread over 90 days. This way of working has proved again and again to set you up for a win; in any journey, there are ups and downs, and this is also true when you start changing your thoughts and beliefs. I also offer a shorter 3 session package (Previous and existing clients can book ad-hoc sessions when available).
Skype, phone or in person: Most of my client sessions are conducted via Skype or Zoom but local clients are welcome to work with me at my practice room in Upper Hutt, Wellington.
Change work created and designed specifically for you: What happens between your sessions is at least as important (if not more) than the sessions themselves. I will suggest specific change work exercises and routines for you, customised after every session and as you grow.
Power check-ins: I check in with my clients a couple of times each week to celebrate their wins, and encourage them when they need it. Clients tell me that this level of support is invaluable to them. (Note: this is not ‘coaching via email’; they are short, succinct power check-ins.)
Rates, payment plans and concession slots: My rates are available on request; payment plans are available to those who need it. I always have one concession slot for clients who cannot afford my standard rates. Please ask me.
Other products, practices and programmes: I have a wide range of experience with other programmes and products because I believe in collaboration and co-creation over competition, I’ll suggest these if I think it will best support you.

Sessions to begin and end on time (every time) and you can absolutely expect to get homework between sessions, because that’s where the real change happens.
How it all works
Sessions must be completed with the time frame specified. Sessions not completed within time will be forfeited, with no refunds; contact me to enquire about availability.
Sessions are 55 – 60 minutes and happen over the internet or at my practice room in Upper Hutt, Wellington.
Unless you request otherwise online sessions are automatically recorded. Audio recordings are available to you with at no cost.
Payment for all sessions must be made in advance.
Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be forfeited; in all other instances I will work with you to find another slot.
Being on time- Sessions are 55 – 60 minutes for a reason – to make them as effective and impact-full as possible; if you are late for your session it will be shorter, and you won’t get the most out of it.
If I have to cancel or I'm late for your session I will offer you a new session or make up the time on a mutually convenient date.
