How I went from stressed out "wonder woman" to helping a community feel calm and nurture emotional strength.

I'm passionate about helping people to develop their emotional strength and my passion comes from my personal experience and a sense of mission.

I was ok with trusting and relying on myself to work hard and get a job done but liking myself or believing in myself was another matter. I spent far too many years running in circles trying to prove my worth to others. But always being busy and saying yes to everything just left me feeling lonely, exhausted and sad. 


I just felt 'wrong' and nothing I did seemed to fix that.


I wasted so much time and energy listening to that nagging voice of fear.  The things I told myself about what I could and couldn't do.

What do you believe?

I had so many beliefs created by the things I'd experienced, watched and heard. Maybe you can recognise some of your own beliefs here too?


I thought emotional strength meant I had to be Wonder Woman... I should put everyone else first...I shouldn't ask for help no matter how exhausted or overwhelmed I felt...My confidence came from other people's approval...It was my job to 'fix' everything.

Depressed, exhausted and a social phobia too!


Eventually, I crashed and depression set in.  I struggled to enjoy meeting friends for coffee, had anxiety attacks at parties and hid during the tea break at my workplace rather than join my colleagues in a noisy and busy staffroom.


I had developed a social phobia and I felt miserable and overwhelmed.  I knew something had to change. I wanted to be the best I could be for my family and I was tired of feeling this way.

I discovered that putting myself first was NOT selfish.

That in fact, it was the key to my own happiness. I began to find out everything I could about holistic ways to reduce stress and anxiety. I discovered Emotional Freedom Technique and Mindfulness and very quickly began to feel more in control.  Eventually, I realised that my DIY solutions would only get me so far and so I hired a coach and joined a mentorship group and I learned:-


  • How easy it was to lower feelings of stress and anxiety

  • How stories and memories can keep us stuck and afraid to change.

  • How to create a wellness practice that's effective and easy to do but gets results fast.


And then all I had to do was keep practising…

I discovered how to optimize and simplify my self-help tools so that I could feel calm and in control no matter where I was or what life threw at me.

And best of all…I’ve had the honour of helping hundreds of men, women and children to manage their stress and anxiety so they can live more joyful, calm and confident lives of their own.

Over the years, I’ve developed a reputation as a gentle, supportive and intuitive practitioner. who still delivers that ‘kick in the pants’ - otherwise known as a giant shift in mindset.  


By listening mindfully to what's deeply hidden I've helped my clients to see past their words and into their hearts. To safely explore their beliefs and fears and express them. To give them the tools to use in going forward.


I’m able to do this because I teach what I know.

I teach what I’ve personally done to grow my own confidence and manage my stress and anxiety. I share practices and techniques that don't rely on hours of work or complicated rituals. I understand how difficult it is to start and how easy it is to tell yourself "This won't work for me."
